Redeemer’s AIDS Initiative for People and Communities (RAPAC) successfully implemented a five-day program of capacity building and medical outreach during the 2026 Special Holy Ghost Service (SHGS) of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, held March 2–8, 2026, at the Redemption City of God. The event also commemorated the 84th birthday of the General Overseer of the mission, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye and the 40th Anniversary of the Special Holy Ghost Service with the theme “Excellence.”
The theme emphasized transformed thinking, disciplined living, and integrity, drawing inspiration from Romans 12:2 and Proverbs 4:23. The Special Holy Ghost Service continues to be a major spiritual gathering attracting millions of worshippers globally and is widely recognized for spiritual empowerment, prophetic declarations, and testimonies of miracles and life-changing breakthroughs.
Activities began on Monday, March 2, 2026, with a Strategic Capacity Building Workshop for RAPAC staff across participating state offices including FCT Abuja, Benue, Lagos, Ogun, Ibadan, and Oyo Town. The training focused on: Program Deliverables and effective implementation; Standardized report writing and documentation; Resource mobilization strategies for sustainability and state office effectiveness. This preparatory phase strengthened institutional capacity and ensured coordinated service delivery across all participating states.
Additional preparatory activities included production of liquid soap and sanitizers distributed to various departments within the Redemption City of God, medical screening of food handlers, and medical support during the 84-Hour Marathon Praise at the New Auditorium through health screening and counseling services.
Between March 5 and March 7, 2026, RAPAC deployed multidisciplinary medical teams that provided free health services to One thousand six hundred and fifty (1,650) worshippers and community members attending the Special Holy Ghost Service. Services included: Free vital signs checks, HIV testing and counseling, Screening for Hepatitis B, Malaria Parasite (MP), Blood Sugar, and Prostate-Specific Antigen (PSA) for men above 40 years, General medical consultations and treatment as well as Health education on disease prevention, nutrition, and healthy living.
